What is PRP?

PRP Treatment in Bangalore: How is PRP made?
It is a simple procedure which takes less than half an hour. A mere 10 ml of own blood is collected which is then processed using reagents to yield PRP. This amount of blood is minimal and will not cause any side effects.
How is PRP used?
Your scalp is anaesthetised with cream. Then the PRP is injected into the balding area using needles/micro-roller. This is done to ensure a minimal amount of discomfort. The whole procedure takes 15 minutes.
Do I need to rest after the PRP hair loss treatment procedure?
No. You can go and perform all activities after the procedure. There is no cosmetic change either. The only precaution is to avoid shampoo for two days. It is important to understand that this isn’t a surgical procedure.
How does PRP hair loss treatment help with baldness?
PRP contains growth factors which act on thin & weak follicles to strengthen them. It can act on follicles which are resistant to Minoxidil as well. It increases the growth phase of hair and stimulates dormant follicles to grow.
How many sessions of PRP hair treatment?
PRP treatment is done in sessions. One single treatment will not give dramatic results. It is performed once in 4-6 weeks and for 3-5 sessions. This varies from patient to patient. After this, maintenance sessions are needed once a year.

- If you’re experiencing vertex hair loss.
Can we do PRP instead of a hair transplant?
PRP therapy is not a replacement for a hair transplant. PRP therapy helps to protect the hair that you already have and prevent it from falling. A hair transplant is done to replace lost hair in bald areas. Hence they are complementary and treat two parts of the same problem. The best result is achieved when they are combined.
Can I do PRP along with a hair transplant?
We always do one session of PRP treatment as part of the hair transplant surgery. After surgery, we complete the course. This combination gives the best results.
Where else is PRP used?
PRP has many other uses in medicine including:
