In this video Dr. Aniketh Venkataram from The Venkat Center in Bengaluru, speaks to a patient who underwent the liposuction procedure at our center only under local anaesthesia. Along with liposuction the patient also went through a procedure called high definition etching for the abdominal area.
There were a total of two sessions, one for the sides and the back, and in the other session there was high definition etching. The etching will become evident as time goes on. The patient states that he was feeling pretty good and a little bit of soreness was expected.
When asked about what made the patient decide to take up this procedure, he replied that he has been working for quite sometime and there was a little bit of fat around his abdomen that was refusing to go away, so he preferred liposuction to get that fat out of the way and continue to follow his diet and exercise routine to add to the definition of his abs.
Dr. Aniketh asks the patient about why take up this procedure under local anaesthesia. To this question, the patient stated that he was looking at procedures for liposuction online and on YouTube, and on The Venkat Center website, which provided a lot of information to the patient about the procedure.
He was also interacting with Dr. Aniketh on a regular basis and the online consultations helped the patient make an informed decision about opting for this procedure. In the next question, Dr. Aniketh asks the patient about whether this procedure causes any pain and people are afraid to opt for this procedure because of the pain. The patient replies that it wasn’t that painful for him, but there was an initial phase of discomfort when the anaesthetic was given, but during the procedure he did not feel any pain.
He also states that there was pain when he was undergoing the procedure for the first time, but then he states that he could deal with the pain from the etching process in a better manner. Dr. Aniketh then asks the patient for an opinion about the result. The patient is very happy with the result, and he is expecting to see more of the results that will happen after about a month. The patient is also eager to get back to his diet and workout routine to maintain his good stature.
